Portrait of Yassine Boukhateb

Education: I am a Ph.D. student in mathematics working with Victor-Emmanuel Brunel and Austin J. Stromme. Prior to that, I completed a master’s degree in probability and statistics at Institut des Mathématiques d’Orsay, Université Paris-Saclay. During my master’s thesis, I worked with Damien Garreau (JMU Würzburg) and Eddie Aamari (ENS Paris) at CAIDAS in Würzburg, Germany.

Research: I work at the intersection of probability, statistics, and geometry. I’m particularly interested in how the ambient geometry of a space affects statistical estimation and concentration phenomena.
